About Wooden Nickels
Make no mistake about it, what we do is truly a profession. With that being said, we must train as PROFESSIONALS.
What began as a closing remark from his father, Cpl. Ray Chaparro Sr, quickly became a motto. The old American adage “Don’t take any Wooden Nickels” is a light hearted reminder to be cautious and not be deceived. Our trainings are designed to give our Police Officers and Detectives the skills and knowledge they will need to avoid just that. Whether you’re a young Patrol Officer on a Field Inquiry or an experienced Detective in the interview room, Wooden Nickels is here to enhance your abilities.
